Gracie L. Torrens, 69, departed this life on July 9, 2019 at home in Norfolk, VA. She was born in Saluda, South Carolina on June 22, 1950. She retired from K&W Cafeteria (Norfolk, VA) after many years of employment. She enjoyed dancing, cooking, traveling with her husband, watching movies, and spending time with family. She’ll be most remembered for her beautiful smile, smooth dance moves and her love of cooking.
She is survived by William Torrens (Husband), Sons- William Christia (Najwa Johnson) and Orlanda Christia (Josephine), Grandchildren- Sierra Gant-Johnson (Jeremiah), Orlando Wilson, Tyrus Artis-Pickney, Nori Johnson, Briana Christia, Nasir Johnson, Great-grandchildren- Amya Niles and Salim Gant-Johnson. Siblings- Bobby J. Harris, Lelia Colon-Estrada (Daniel), Harriet A. Washington, Joesoph R. Christian, Muhammad Ali, and Karriem Ali and a host of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by Dorothy Christia (mother), Johnnie B. Christia (father), Johnnie ‘Bboy” Christian (brother) and Mary A. Carroll (sister).
