Gloria L. Lowe peacefully entered eternal rest on Monday, December 11, 2023, at the age of 89. Born on October 9, 1934, in Norfolk, VA, she was a devoted soul who dedicated 27 years of her life to the Norfolk Public School system after receiving her education in the same institution.

Gloria is preceded in death by her mother, Thelma Briley; her son, Antonia Lowe (Tony), and her brother Curtis Holley, Sr. She now joins them in a serene reunion.

Known for her kindness and generosity, Gloria was a beloved figure in her neighborhood, affectionately known as “grandmom” by all the children. She delighted in spreading joy by distributing candies to the neighborhood children and treating everyone to her special dish, pancit.

Gloria leaves behind cherished memories in the hearts of her son, Dwight Jefferson (Schnell), and daughter, Wilma Lowe. Her legacy continues through a loving host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, along with numerous cousins, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

In celebrating Gloria’s life, we remember a woman, whose warmth and generosity touched the lives of many, creating enduring bonds and joyful recollections that will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in eternal peace.

    Dwight, Lou and Wilma, please keep your mother memories close to your heart always as I will. Gloria Lee was a Beautiful, Kind and Loving Women. She treated everyone with love. God will give you’ll the strength to get through this time of sorrow. She’s with her family and Alice Mae now. He will take care of you.     She was such a beautiful and sweet woman. I will never forget how she made me a big pan of Pancit as a baby shower gift. She was also very good friends with my mom for years. Rest In Perfect Peace.

    May the Jefferson and Lowe family members be forever grateful for their beloved mother for her kindness and generosity and love I will forever remember how she demonstrated and manifested that kind of spirt to me. May Allah(God) be forever please with her. RIP.
