Gloria “Duke Duke” Baldwin as I so affectionately called YOU. I can say I’m lost for words but as your sista / friend, I’m proud to say YOU knew how I felt about you and cherished the bond we shared. As my sister KENDRA, mentioned in her condolence we go way back to ‘GHENT’ and followed by ‘DIGGS PARK” the old ‘DIGGS PARK” not this new ‘DIGGS TOWN”….As our families shared soooo many FUN, EXCITING AND MOMENTOUS events over the years, we ARE truly sisters and brothers as the FRIENDSHIP of our MOTHERS, ‘ELLEN & THELMA’ proved that FACT. I’m happy that one of OUR last ‘MOMENTOUS’ occasions was me inviting you to my timeshare in NAGS HEAD APRIL 2019. The week long vacation you and I shared along with another life long friend, Tara will be in my ‘HEART’ forever. By the way, now that you are free of any illnesses and is with your ‘HEAVENLY FATHER’, say ‘hello’ to ELLEN a.k.a Twiggy & THELMA LOU for me. I LOVE YOU TODAY, TOMORROW AND ALWAYS…….your SISTA forever! Dushawn a.k.a. Dee

Gloria(Dukie) Baldwin was a beautiful person. One on my dearest and oldest friend,my Sister and my family. A smile that would light a room. Always positive and happy, even when she wasn’t doing well. Dukie had a heart filled with love and compassion bigger than anything. When I was down or going thru, always had words of encouragement. She took care of my daughter and then watched my grandson. So talented in crafts. I have pillows, scarfs, other beautiful items she made and will treasure as I treasure her for ever. My love, support goes out to her family and friends. It was a blessing to have Gloria in my life for all these years and a blessing she allowed me to be in her life. I will truly miss my Sister, but know she is in peace with our heavenly Father and those who gone on before her. A new Angel in God’s kingdom. A Blessed homecoming ????????????????
