On Friday, July 13, 2018, our beloved Gladys Elizabeth Turner transitioned from this life and gained her angel wings. She was born in Southampton County, Virginia on August 21, 1929 to the late Napoleon and Eunice Urquhart. Gladys was a product of the Hertford County Public Schools. She worked at General Electric, Naval Hospital and also for Steve Jordon. She was a former member of Mt. Sinai Baptist Church.

Preceding Gladys in death is her brother Johnnie Urquhart and sister Mabel O. Porter. Left to cherish precious memories is her devoted husband, Frank Turner; daughter, Paige (Wilroy) Hill; grandson, Maurice (Valerie) Hill of Chesapeake; three great grand children; ten great great grandchildren, two step daughters; Zena Steele, Frances Darder; three step grandchildren; four step great grand children; one brother in law, Alvin Turner (Tawana); a host of relatives, friends and a great, loving and caring care giver Harriett.
