CELEBRATION OF LIFE

Our beloved Junior Matriarch, Geraldine Elizabeth Arps, born March 29, 1937 to the late Wesley Lee, Sr. and Geraldine Sneed, transitioned to her Eternal Estate, on October 26, 2019. She was predeceased by her late husband, Linwood Arps, eldest daughter: Linda McCloud, grandsons: Fred Lee and Myquan McCloud.

GERALDINE “MS. BOOTSIE” ARPS

was a loving mother, grandmother, great- grandmother, great-great grandmother, aunt, and dear friend. Formerly, she was employed by J. H. Miles & Company-Campbells Inc., where she worked diligently as a supervisor of the meat inspection department, to provide for her family. After laboring for over thirty years in the service industry, she retired to enjoy time with her love ones. Ms. Bootsie would unselfishly share her blessings with family, friends, several charitable organizations, etc. Unfortunately, in her latter years, Cancer would rear its ugly head causing her health to drastically decline. She survived for nearly three years, despite her six month prognosis, proving she was a warrior, and our Heavenly Father, having the final word! As promised, she lived a full 82 years of LIFE, and though, her earthly vessel has returned to ashes and dust, her impact, memories, and legacy shall FOREVER and REMAIN!!! Ms. Bootsie is and will be loved…..TODAY…..TOMORROW…..FOREVER.

Mrs. Arps, leaves to esteem her legacy and cherish her memories: beloved mother: Geraldine Snead; daughters: Mechelle Lee and Jo-Jo Arps-Anthony Johnson; special daughter: Lorna Faulkner; son: Linwood Lee, granddaughters: Yolanda Arps-Dewayne Hodges and Jojuana Diggs; grandsons: DeAngelo Arps-Kaiya Arps, Antoine Arps, Rashid Arps-Alyse Arps and Perry Lee; great-granddaughters: Shaqualia Norwell, Abigail and Emani Arps, Darnisha, Nashiyah, Parrish, Tionna, Anija (Lee sisters), Trenashia Willams, Tazyla Arps, Zaniyah and Zamoni McCloud; great-grandsons: Tycear Arps, Tione Lee, Caleb Arps, and DeAngelo Arps, Jr: great-great grandson: Jersiah Washington; niece: Deborah; nephew: Wesley Lee; sister-in-law: Carolyn Lee; dear friend: B. Felton, and an extended host of nieces, nephews and friends.
