George Theodore Granberry, Jr. passed away on Friday, July 3, 2020. He was born in Norfolk, VA to the late Elsie W. Speaks and George Theodore Granberry, Sr on August 30, 1947. George loved and enjoyed spending time with his family. He was an Oakland Raiders fan, New York Yankees fan, and Boston Celtics. He loved watch sports and watching Sanford and Son.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Anthony Granberry. Left to cherish his memories are his sons, George Smallwood, Sr. and Anthony Smallwood, grandson, George Smallwood, Jr. sisters, Denise Myrick, Mary Richardson and Beverlen Santiful, brothers, Herbert Granberry, Thomas Granberry, Charles Brooks, Calvin Winston, Isaiah Thornton, and Dwayne Moore, former wife, Bernice White and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

    Lord at the moment , nothing seems to be able to help the loss lift, My heart is broken and my spirit mourns all I know is that your Grace a sufficient this day and hour moment by moment I choose to lean on you for when I’m at my weakest, your strength.     My buddy Cran. You were the funniest person on this earth! Could do amazing card tricks. And could SING!! I jokingly say you were my baby’s daddy as you gave me that dog Bootsie. I always knew you were a good person & thats how we remained Friends thru the years. My heart aches knowing you’re gone but I am oh so happy these past few years have been good ones for you. My condolences to the family. I know you’re going thru pain. Hugs to you all & prayers for your comfort.
