Ganell “G” Tyler (Fonville) passed away on March 24, 2024, in Raeford, North Carolina surrounded her by family at the age of 70. She was born on March 23, 1954, in Duplin County.  Ganell graduated from Richlands High School in Richlands, NC. Ganell will be remembered as a kind, generous, funny, energetic, creative, loving, and proud mother, grandmother, wife and friend.

Throughout her life, Ganell left a memorable mark on everyone she met. Her kindness and infectious smile made her unforgettable. The world is a dimmer place without her in it.  In her career as a hospital Sterile Processing Technician, Ganell displayed dedication and proficiency in all her tasks and was seen as a staple in the department. Her hobbies included exercising, participating in 5K races, traveling, and spending quality time with family and friends.

Ganell is survived by her husband: Curtis Tyler, His Daughter; Kanitra Tyler, Her son, Willie “DJ” Battle; Daughter-in-law, Shannon Battle. Her grandchildren; Troy Battle, Justin Johnson-Bradshaw, Brianna Battle, Curtis Loving Jr, Brandon Loving, Alexis Loving and Noah Proctor. Her great-grandchildren; Lil Troy and Issac. Her brother, Tommy Fonville (Evelyn), Sister Sheila Knox, nieces, and nephews. She is preceded in death by her mother, Catherine Fisher-Fonville, and Sister, Linda Fisher-Fonville.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Pancreatic Cancer Research in memory of Ganell.
