On September 13, 2019 our earthly angel transitioned tohis Heavenly home. Frank T. Spain was born on February 11, 1950 to Verna Mae Spain.
Frank was educated in the Norfolk Public School System where he graduated from Booker T. Washington High School. He later joined the Army National Guard brand of the Military and married his wife Cora L. Davis where their union brought about four beautiful children, two daughters and two sons. He retired from Norfolk State University after 32 years of service. He later worked at Thompson Hospitality as a utility worker until he became ill.
Frank was caring, kindhearted, loving and devoted Husband, Father, Brother, Grandfather, Great-Grandfather, Son and Friend. He is predeceased by his wife, Cora Davis; son, Frank T. Spain, Jr. and his brother, Thomas Spain. He leaves behind to cherish his great memory three daughters, Etonya Smith, Carvariss Spain and Shanita Spratley; one son, Antione Spain; seven granddaughters, De’Tora, De’Ashley, De’Kira, De’Quona, De’Quaja, Tanaiza and Alexis; five grandsons, Deonta, DeTwon, Tiyon, Tyjai and Travis along with six great grandkids. He also leaves his mother, Verna Mae Beverly; five sisters, two brothers, and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends along with a special friend, Priscilla Smith, two bonus sons, Rico and Jermaine along with Sterling Waters in which he called his “headache son.”
