Frank Lester Studivant, Jr.

For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Jesus Christ Our Lord. – Romans 8:38-39 Frank Lester Studivant, Jr. was called home on Wednesday, September 11, 2019. Frank was born on December 5, 1954 in Norfolk, VA to Frank L. Studivant, Sr. and Bessie L. Studivant.

Frank was a 1973 graduate of Lake Taylor High School in Norfolk, VA. He continued his studies at Norfolk State University and ECPI University. Frank loved people. He had a smile and a kind word of encouragement for everyone. He believed everyone he met was relevant to his life. His friends recognize him for his sense of humor, laugh, and his catch phrases “my man, my man”, “Right, right, right”, “For True”, and many more.

Frank served his community as a mentor to many young men in the neighborhood. He enjoyed volunteering as a basketball coach for the Woodstock Recreation league for 10 years. He loved spending time with his family, date night with Maria, cooking on the grill and listening to jazz. Frank truly believed that you should “live in the moment”. He was employed as a financial planner with New York Life for 9 years. He was grateful to have the opportunity to help families build legacies. Frank leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Maria L. Studivant; his sons, Omar Z. McDonald, Franklin R. Studivant (Crystal) and Stephen K. Studivant (Jazmine); his daughters, Mia B. Studivant and Kelli M. Studivant; his six grandsons, Josiah K. Studivant, Wesley Studivant, Wyatt Studivant, Caden Studivant, Keston Scott and Kyren Scott; his sisters, Brenda Barnes and Francine LeaCraft; his brother, Edmund Studivant; a very special aunt, Margie Studivant- Johnson and a host of nieces, nephews, special cousins and friends.

    God Bless Frank’s Family. I love them very much and am praying for you to give them strength now. Frank will be remembered for his kind and loving ways. Our talks were frequent and uplifting for both of us. We shared many laughs which I will deeply miss. God rest his soul and let his light shine over his family forever. God Bless You All.

    May God give the family comfort and strength during the time of Frank homegoing. Charles and I always loved talking with Frank, he was so full of laughter. I always called him cuz because he was so much like family. Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. RIP Frank.

However, we do know, according to Isaiah 41:31 – But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.     All of the Studivant Juniors have a special bond. I had no idea until a couple of years ago how much we share in that bond. places we worked, areas we ran, and people we knew. Rest in Power Cousin. Bless all of our family.
