With Jesus’ joy, Frances Elizabeth Holloman was called to her eternal reward in the early hours of Monday morning, February 17, 2025. Our lives were forever changed as she peacefully slept, a smile on her face, knowing she was finally home.
Frances was born on June 12, 1933, in Boston, Massachusetts, to Ralph and Gladys Sykes, both of whom preceded her in death. She was also preceded by her beloved husband, James S. Holloman; her sisters Robertta, Barbara, and Juanita Sykes; her brother Ralph Sykes Jr.; and her cherished daughters, Barbara Lyons and Denise Batchelor, whom she missed deeply.
Frances received her education in the Boston public school system before moving to Virginia, where she dedicated many years to working as a housekeeper and domestic worker until her health began to decline.
She is survived by her daughter Sandra Person, son Dennis Williams (Malissa), and sisters Carolin and Millie, all of whom will forever treasure her memory.
Frances was blessed to witness the joy of four generations, including 13 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Her legacy will continue to shine brightly. Known for her quick wit and infectious sense of humor, she was often the life of the party, always ready with a joke or a funny response. When asked for a gift suggestion for her, her response was always the cash register or money that folds.
A woman who, in her words, “loved everybody,” Frances was known for going out of her way to support her family. Her home was a place filled with countless memories that we all will cherish. She had a special fondness for White Diamonds perfume, and itβs only fitting that she is wearing it today as her legacy lives on.
