On Tuesday, March 21, 2023, the Lord called Florence Ellen Southall-Nipper home to eternal rest. Florence was the third oldest of 14 siblings. She was born in Portsmouth, VA on July 30, 1947 to the late Elmer and Vera Southall. She received her formal education through the Portsmouth Public School System and graduated from I.C. Norcom High School and the University of Maryland College. After 30 years faithful employment, Florence Nipper retired from Blue Cross and Blue Shield. Florence was a faithful member of First Baptist Church South Hill. Florence Southall-Nipper was predeceased by her father and mother; Elmer Southall, Sr. and Vera Southall; sister, Dorothy Southall; brother, Elmer Southall, Jr.; two brothers-in-law, Apostle George Cooke III and Elder Frank Blackmore. Left to cherish her memories are her son, Kenneth Little, II; siblings, James Southall (Gloria) of Norfolk, Vera Edwards (Wendell) of Chesapeake, Jeanette Cook of Portsmouth, Joseph Southall of Portsmouth, Wilbert Southall (Barbara) of Suffolk, George Southall (Margaret) of Portsmouth, David Southall (Cassandra) of Norfolk, Calvin Southall (Renee) of Surry, Howard (Lola) of Suffolk; Lelia Blackmore of Portsmouth and John Southall of Suffolk; one aunt, Margaret Moore of Chesapeake; three grandchildren; one great grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
