Faye Levonne Hall, 61, of Portsmouth, Virginia, entered into eternal rest on May 6, 2025. Born on June 25, 1963, Faye was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend whose life reflected the heart of God through unwavering faith, strength, and love.
Faye was a fighter. She faced and overcame many health challenges throughout her life, leaning fully on her faith in Jesus Christ. Her strength was quiet but steady, rooted in a deep trust that God was with her every step of the way. Even in hard times, she kept a spirit of hope and gratitude, often encouraging others when she herself needed encouragement. Her endurance was a reflection of the grace that carried her.
She loved deeply and gave generously, especially to her family. Faye found joy in serving others, and one of the ways she expressed that love was through cooking. She especially cherished holiday gatherings, where she would spend hours preparing meals to ensure her family felt cared for and connected. Her kitchen was filled with love and tradition—from her comforting dishes to her well-loved Kool-Aid pies. And if blue crabs were on the menu, Faye was sure to be close by.
Faye also dedicated over two decades to nursing, where her kindness, skill, and steady presence brought comfort and care to many during their most vulnerable moments.
She took pride in creating moments that brought her family together, often through food, laughter, and love. Her presence turned ordinary days into cherished memories, and her selfless heart left an imprint on all who knew her.
Faye was preceded in death by her parents, Johnnie and Janice Deloatch; her sisters, Inez Chavis and Andrea Jones; her brother, Carl Evans; and her daughter, Talia Crowder.
She leaves behind a family that will forever hold her memory in their hearts, including her husband of 31 years, Arnold Hall; her son, David Roulhac (Manisha); her daughter, Jamicia Collins (Andrae); her beloved grandchildren: Kereon, Jaiden, Demarion, Deija, Alayna, Andrae, Jr., and Aiden, her brothers, William Jones (Audrey) and Juan Deloatch (Mary), her sisters-in-law, Wanda and Wendy (Herbert); her brother-in-law, Michael (Michelle); her dear friend, Debra of North Carolina; and a very special second mom, Gracie Haskins.
Though our hearts are heavy, we rejoice knowing that Faye is now resting in the presence of her Savior, completely healed and made whole. Her life was a light, and her memory will live on through generations.
