Bae Bae spent 10 years, from 1986 to 1996 as a cook at Fort Eustis Army Base in Newport News before moving to Panama City, Florida in 1996 where she continued as a Supervisor and cooking for HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital. Throughout her life she loved to cook and to teach others how to cook. It was a passion of hers that she did very well and took seriously.

Due to her declining health, she was forced to retire from the work force early at the age of 48 years old.

In the last couple of years, she become a member of First Baptist Church South Hill and loved to hear as she would say “good singing” from both the Mass Choir and Male Chorus. She loved to hear Pastor Toliver preach and sing as he gave the word of the day, because she was one that loved the lord.

Bae Bae fought a good fight and endured a lot of pain but she never lost her faith. Her strength was commanding as well as a teaching moment for us all close to her. If you never knew an angel personally, today we all gained one.

    Howard,
My condolences to you, family and love ones.
I met Evelyn in Panama City, Fl. 10 years ago. Myself and Taz Wallace transferred from VA (Peninsula area) due to our jobs. Evelyn and I became like sisters. We laughed and talk for hours. We shopped and took bus trips. We stayed in touch and I will miss her tremendously.
