Estelle M. Creech

Sunrise: June 14, 1935

Sunset: February 1, 2025

Our dearly beloved Aunt transitioned to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 1st, 2025.

Aunt Stelle was born on June 14th, 1935, in Greenville, NC, to the late Levi Moore and Martha Nobles. She was married to the late Robert Creech, Jr., never being blessed with children of their own. They were always taking one of us along with them on their travels. She was very devoted to her sister and was always assisting her with her children.

Aunt Stelle moved to Norfolk, VA, at the early age of 9, along with her mother and sister. They became members of the Holy Church of Christ Disciples under Bishop William M. Moore. Later, she joined First Gospel Tabernacle Church under Bishop Jobie Boone. Aunt Stelle had a strong faith and love for the Lord; anytime the doors were open, she was there until her illness made it impossible for her to attend.

To know Aunt Stelle was to love her; she never met a stranger. If you needed anything, she was always there with a helping hand. Aunt Stelle loved fishing and was always ready to go. She would catch them but didn’t like eating them. So she would keep some for us and give the rest away. She spent many nights on the Va Beach Pier.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Sergeant First Class Robert Creech, Jr., her sister, Queen Esther Benson, brother-in-law Louis T. Benson, her nephews, Rickie L. Benson and Dennis R. Benson, and a great nephew, Deon Benson.

Aunt Stelle is survived by her nieces, Queen Benson and Connie Benson, both of Norfolk, VA, and a nephew, Louis T. Benson (Doris) of Chesapeake, VA, and a host of great nieces and great nephews, cousins, and a dear friend, Sherry Longshore.

We will miss and love you, Aunt Stelle, but God loved you best, so take your well-deserved rest.

Lovingly submitted,

The Family
