Erica Katrina “Trina” Brown

Sunrise: February 13, 1971

Sunset: February 29, 2024
We are heartbroken to announce the untimely passing of our beloved Erica, better known as Trina, on Thursday, February 29, 2024 at 3:30 pm.
Erica Katrina Brown was born February 13, 1971 to Jackson T. Brown Jr. and Sharon Eason Brown. Trina was a proud graduate of Green Run High school. She also attended Norfolk State University for nursing but realized law was her passion. Trina worked in the legal industry for over 25 years for various law firms throughout Hampton Roads.
Trina’s all time favorite hobbies were playing bingo and shopping. She dedicated the latter years of her life being the sole caregiver for her mom.
Trina is predeceased by her father, Jackson T. Brown Jr. and sister, Kimberly D. Norfleet. She leaves behind to cherish her memories: her beloved mother, Sharon E Brown; brother, Jackson (Kisha); nephews: Christopher, Cameron, and Rashaad; her only niece, Kayla. She also leaves behind three aunts: Ethel, Diane (Jesse), and Barbara; and a host of cousins, family and closest friends.
Trina loved the Lord God with her whole heart. We are at peace knowing God is saying “Well done, my good and faithful servant!” Her bright smile, laughter,  and quirky personality will truly be missed.
No Services are being planned at this time.

Me and Trina attended school together, she was always smiling. Throughout the years I would see Trina. My fondest memory of her was in 2020 during Covid. Trina and her mother was in my doctor office. She was happy that she was able to take her mom. She told me her mom was her best friend and how much she loved her. She did not have to tell me, I knew when she seen our sign only the patient could comeback. She immediately told me that sign doesn’t apply to her. All I could do was laugh and we laughed together. You will be miss Trina. My condolences to the Brown family.

What a pretty lady gone too soon. Every time I saw you Trina you were always so bubbly and upbeat. I’m just still in disbelief. I’m so saddened to know that you are no longer here in the physical, but I just know you are rejoicing now with the Lord. I so loved the way you took care of your Mom. I pray for her and the rest of your family. Trina, you will surely be missed by your bingo family.

I am just learning about the passing of Trina and it breaks my heart. It was a pleasure working with her at the City of Norfolk Water Department. She kept me laughing all the time, was so sweet, humble, and we always praised the Lord and talked about God. She will be greatly missed. It was such a pleasure and honor to meet and know such a beautiful loving spirit in this life time.
