In the early morning hours of Monday, April 3, 2023, our dear father, grandfather, fiancé, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend Eric Lee Wyatt went home. He was born to the late Ida Mae Wyatt and Earl Lee Fields on June 20, 1972, in Norfolk, Virginia. Eric grew up in Tidewater Park where he enjoyed life, family, hanging with his crew and having a good time. He was caring and always there for whomever needed a helping hand. He graduated from Booker T. Washington High School and Norfolk State University in Norfolk, VA. Eric was a loving and caring father of three who always put his children before himself. In his leisure time Erick loved to golf, watch his favorite football team the Washington Commander and his favorite basketball team Boston Celtics. He is predeceased by his father Earl Lee Fields, Sr.; mother Ida Mae Wyatt; brothers, Tyrone “Peewee” Robinson, Norris Fields, Earl Lee Fields, Jr., David Fields and Tracy Chatman; sisters, Cynthia “Simp” A. Wyatt-Morris and Diane Fields. Eric leaves to cherish his memories his three children, Erika Painter, Antione Painter, Eric Lee Wyatt, Jr. and Brandon Hammond whom Eric treated like and called him his son; granddaughters, Jae’mereyah Almond Painter and Pileigh Rhys Hammond; grandson Grayson Elijah Hammond whom he considered his grandson; fiancé Teresa; sisters Linda Robinson-Coleman (Mark), Sharon Robinson, Angela (Ann) Perez, Robin R. Wyatt-Peterkin (Kofi) Beverly Bonner, Sandra Clark, Lanada Alexander and Deborah Fields; brothers, Keith “Keke” Robinson, Anthony “ Aamco” Robinson, Willie Fields, Walter Chatman, Jr. and Emmet Fords; devoted nieces Antoinette Starks and Kia Stevenson; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends. Devoted friends Lamont Brown, Bobby Simmons, Roosevelt Westbrook, Garrard Campbell, Lennoxdrick M. Powell, Sr. and Jonathan Brinkley.

    We are sending our deepest condolences to Teresa and Eric’s children. Please know that your loved one is at Peace. He will be missed at our Sunday Football Dinners with Not. I always know the day when I come downstairs, because there he is enjoying the day.

    Eric my heart is broken. Thank you for being a great best friend and all the advice you gave me. We would send memes every day laughing. A friendship that was formed 25 years ago. I’m going to miss my friend. I keep calling you phone and pray you would say What up Crocker. Thank you Eric for a great friendship and memories that would last a lifetime. Prayers to your family

    My condolences to the Robinson and Wyatt family. Eric (aka Man- Man), was the meekest and mildest person I have met. He always had a smile on his face, and I never heard him say anything unkind about anyone.

    Take comfort in knowing that God will provide peace during this time of grieve.
