Emma Catherine Riddick was born May 31, 1944, to the late Abe and Catherine Ricks in Norfolk, VA. She was one of eight children: Two boys and six girls. On Wednesday, April 202, 2022, God called her home. Emma retired from Norfolk Naval Air Station where she worked for several years. She attended Mount Zion Baptist Church. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She touched many lives and will be missed by many.Β 

In additional to her parents, Emma was preceded in death by two brothers, Abe and William Ricks, two sisters, Thelma Gainer and Annie Williams, and two grandsons, Troy Ricks and Christopher Wilson. She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Robin Ricks and Latrillion Wilson and one son, Lewis Scott, three sisters, Maggie Richardson, Estelle Shahid, and Ruth Leveston, 12 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
