Emanuel Roundtree, III

Sunrise: February 11, 1964

Sunset: February 14, 2024

On February 14, 2024, Emanuel Roundtree, III, affectionately known as Junnie, was called home to be with the Lord after a courageous battle with cancer. Junnie was born February 11, 1964 in Portsmouth, VA to Gloria Roundtree and the late Manuel Roundtree.

Junnie attended Norfolk Public Schools and retired from Chesapeake Food Services. He was predeceased in death by his father, Manuel Roundtree.

Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Gloria; sisters, LaTanya and Toy; daughters, Nastassia, Destiny and DeAsia; granddaughters, Harmony and Melodi; niece, Randall and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Junnie was a kind soul. He loved everyone he encountered, especially his babies. He loved crab legs, fried fish and chicken wings. His favorite pastime was watching wrestling on Tuesdays and Fridays, football on Sundays (he was a diehard Cowboys fan) and eating candy and watching daytime television with his mama. He also enjoyed cracking jokes with his favorite and only niece, Randall, whom he affectionally called “Mama Boo”.

Although life will never be the same without Junnie, please take comfort in knowing that he fought a good fight and is no longer suffering.
