Elvin Rollins, Sr., of Chesapeake Boulevard, passed away peacefully on December 14, 2021. Born on September 7, 1934, he was one of three children of the late Rachel and William Rollins. After graduating from Booker T. Washington High School, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War, where he was stationed in the U.K. After serving his country, he returned home and married the love of his life, Dianna Cowell and they welcomed three children, Elvin Rollins Jr., Donna Rollins and Bonita Vazquez. Following his military term, he worked 10 years for Kline Chevrolet. A devoted family man, he was often found walking around the city to visit his relatives. Elvin loved a good meal and nothing made him smile more than listening to his favorite songs by Nat King Cole. He leaves to cherish his memories Elvin, Jr., Donna, Bonita, his nine grandchildren (Michael, Bristol, Stephon, LaToya, Angela, Brittany, Joseph, Jasmine, and Dianna), his niece Kimberly, nephew Melvin and a host of other family and friends.
We will miss him dearly.
Lovingly the family.
