I am sure going to miss my exercise buddy. We had wonderful talks while working the rowing machines. Through the years we have become great friends and I will sure miss him.

Sorry to hear that Colvin had passed. Gina saw it in the newspaper today. I know how it fills to loose a brother. May God bless the Scarbor family.

My condolences to Mrs. Scarbor, family, and all that were blessed to have known Sarge. He was one of if not the most influential teacher and friend at Bamberg High from around 1980 to 1983. I remember this was felt by the school staff as well. Ms Miller, the school nurse and my health studies teacher, had gone to him when I gave her trouble in class one day. He spoke to me about the incident and made me see the errors of my way. I understood and apologized to Ms. Miller; another beautiful soul. Sarge was a perfect example of a fathering mentor and friend. As “our” AJROTC instructor; we learned about leadership, map reading, and discipline to complete training exercises involving military equipment that would be unheard of today. We did it with the approval of the school staff and our parents; all done responsibly and safely. We traveled around German autobahns to participate in events for drill and ceremony, marksmanship, and military balls. He was behind the best school dances like the Valentine Sweet Heart Dance and that unforgettable Marathon Dance! I thank you Sarge for these everlasting memories and experiences…I love you and will carry on your spirit to pass on your stories and wisdom.

I’ll share this scripture that a veteran journeyman by the name of “Red” had shared with me…

“Behold, I send an angel before you, to guard you on the way and to bring you to the place which I have prepared. Give heed to him and hearken to his voice…for My name is in him.”
    Ex 23:20

Sarge and Red “are” the angels among us.
Little Sarah is now with her Daddy…the Finest!
    Eternally Loved,
    Jimmy Montoya
