Eleanor M. Randall

Eleanor M. Harper-Randall, 80, of the 600 block of Quail Ave gained her heavenly wings 9/20/19. She was born to the late Sterling and Mary McNair in Plymouth, NC.  Eleanor was predeceased by her brothers- David, Earl, & Sterling; sister Mable. Eleanor was an overhead crane operator for Intercostal Steel for over 20yrs before working for Marriot for 18yrs until her retirement in 2011. She enjoyed working in her flower beds and keeping her yard pretty.

Left to cherish her memories are daughters Loraletta D. Gaynor (Donell) of Norfolk, Va; Janiell Harper-Youngblood of Chesapeake, VA; sister Valerie McNair of Chesapeake, Va; brother Ernest McNair (Liz) of Fayetteville, NC; Nathaniel McNair of Goldsboro, NC; Sterling McNair, Jr (Gloria) and Nathan McNair( Karimah) of Chesapeake, VA.;  Aunt Catherine Downing of New York and Sister-in-law Catherine McNair of Chesapeake, VA.    She loved and cherished her grandchildren Jarius, Jayla, John Jr., Takeemah, Saulece Youngblood as if they were her children. She loved and leaves behind to cherish her memories a host of nieces, nephews and relatives.

    We are so sorry for your loss. The death of a love one can be extremely difficult to cope with. Many have found comfort in the promise found there at Acts 24:15.     To my extended family, I send my condolences in the loss of your mother, grandmother, sister, aunt & cousin. Words can’t express how I mourn with the family the loss of Ma Eleanor.She meant a lot to me & my son (Quentin). she has been a part of our life for over 17years. we built a close family bond. You don’t have to be blood to be family. Rest on Ma Eleanor where your crown.
