Edwin R. Banks A.K.A Ricky was born on April 27, 1956 in Norfolk, VA to George H. Banks and Delores Banks. He went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, September 7, 2019 at the age of 63. He received his formal education in Norfolk School
System where he graduated. Edwin was employed at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard until his time of illness. Ricky was a loyal supportive member of St. Mark UCC for many years. Ricky enjoyed his music, was a Dallas Cowboy fan, band member
of Campostella High School and was definitely the life of the party.
Those left to cherish his memories are his five children, Latisha, Lil Ricky, Felisa, Shawn and Barry; 13 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; sister, Cheryl (David); niece, Christie; one great nephew, Keith; one great great niece, McKenzie; 2 uncles, Rufus, Sr. and Arthur King, Sr.; 3 aunts, Doris, Beverly, and Louisa; caretaker, Charles Pickens along with numerous other family and friends. Ricky will be greatly missed.
