Edward Darnell Moore was born on January 8, 1960, to the union of Mary (Rountree) Moore and William David Moore, Jr. in Hertford, North Carolina. He made New York City his home during his childhood and early adult life, and later resided in Virginia Beach, Virginia since 2008 being care for by Keshia Reel-Edmonds, Avery Edmonds, and Vicky Reel.
Edward Moore accepted Christ at an early age, and he loved all of his family and friends. He was educated in New York City and after his accident achieved his GED as a major milestone in his life. He maintained a career in New York City as a Butcher in a Butcher Shop, like his father. He shared a passion for creating artwork, enjoying music, and having a love for animals. He also loved to DJ on the side and sing songs by his favorite artist(s), like the Jackson 5. He was never married, however he leaves behind one son.
Edward Darnell Moore departed this life on Wednesday, October 6, 2021. He was preceded in death by one parent and sister: William David Moore, Jr. (father) and Linda-Raye Moore (sister).
He leaves to cherish his memories: his son Corey Moore, of New York City; two grandchildren- Rayne Brianna Moore and Summer Danielle Peay Moore, of New York City; His siblings- Alice Moore of Atlanta, Georgia, Girleene Moore of New York City, and William Ray Moore, Sr. of New York City and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends. A special thanks to the staff at Rosemont Nursing Home for the kindness and loving care you had for Edward Moore over the years.

He was always the life of anything that we had going on here in Activities when he participated. Known for loving his music, singing, his art and love of people. He was truly one in a million.
