Our loved one Earnest Linwood Bailey went home to be with our Lord and Savior on February 12, 2021. Earnest L. Bailey was born on July 28, 1945 in Norfolk, Virginia. In his early years, he was a truck driver. Earnest was preceded in death by his mother, Revella Bailey; his sister, Ardell Bailey and his brother Herman L. Bailey.
He leaves to cherish his memory his sister, Derinda L. Bailey; his nieces, Angela M. Archie, Anita M. Bailey and Nekia A. Bailey; his nephews, Phillip L. Bailey, Demetrius B. Bailey, Michael D. Bailey, Keith Bailey and a host of other relatives.
He leaves behind a memory of being a meek, gentle and kind man. He was a wonderful caregiver to his mother in her later years. Earnest was a nurturer and caregiver to his nieces and nephews that were entrusted in his care. He loved children and catered to them with love. He loved old school R&B and gospel music and took joy in listening and singing to it. Earnest loved the Lord. God chose to make Earnest unique in his own way and let him shine with his kind spirit. He loved to cook and family enjoyed his cooking especially his fried chicken.
Earnest has left memories to cherish to everyone that has had the chance to meet this wonderful unique person. He will be missed but we know he is happy to be with our Lord and family that were waiting for him. Life is for the living and we will honor your life with the treasured memories you have gifted us to enjoy. Spread your wings and fly Earnest.
