On October 10, 2018, God sent an angel to visit Earl, calling him to his new life. He was born on August 24, 1940 to Earl James Smith and Elessie Moore Smith. He was educated in Chesapeake City Schools, he was a retired plumber, and at an early age achieved difficult tasks. Earl preceded his parents Earl Smith and Elessie Moore Smith, paternal grandparents Samuel Smith and Virginia Garden (Gennie), maternal grandparents Louise Forbes Moore and Baston Moore of Tennessee, great grandparents Davis Forbes and Mary Ellen Forbes, ex- wife Annie Norman, special friend Arlene Allen, nephews James Wilson, Turner Flowers, and Ernest Smith, niece Carlester White, brother Ernest Smith, and sister Mary Allen Smith. His memory will be cherished by those he left behind including one brother Davis Smith (Joyce), three sisters Carlester White, Ada Smith Flower (Turner) of Virginia Beach, and Kathy Smith of Norfolk, two children Jackie Holloway and Kathy Holloway, two step-children Monique Allen and Tanisha Allen, one godchild Verhita Davis, and eight nephews Calvin White, Anthony White, Raven Michael Smith (Cynthia) of North Carolina, Paul Marshalls, James Lamont Smith, Jermain Smith (Michelle), Russel Flowers (Kayla), and Michael Smith, and five nieces Olivia Smith, Geraldine White Night (Robert), Angela Smith (Marvin), Denise Flowers, Alexandra Smith, one adopted niece Deeirdre Williams, and nine great nephews, and eight great nieces.
