E-Lexus L. Dodd

Sunrise: April 27, 1991

Sunset: June 22, 2018

E’lexus Lynnae Dodd is the daughter of Eric Gray Dodd and Earlice (Lisa) Roberts Dodd of Norfolk, VA. She was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania on Saturday, April 27, 1991. She became familiar with the gospel of Jesus Christ at an early age while living in Baltimore, MD and later accepted Jesus Christ at Calvary Revival in Norfolk, VA.

E’lexus was a very compassionate young lady and had a smile which would light up any room she entered. She attended Booker T. Washington High School in Norfolk, VA. After high school, she attended ITT Technical Institute where she studied Graphic Design to pursued her passion. She was employed by the Norfolk, YMCA. While there, she made many friends and lasting impressions upon everyone she met.

One of E’lexus’s major interest was drawing Chinese animation. Because she had such a creative entrepreneurial spirit, her talents opened doors for her to be able to share her artistic gifts and her passion for writing. If you were being introduced to her, know that, you were getting a hug. She was a hugger. She never wanted anyone to have their feelings hurt or to be sad. Her personality made her especially passionate about putting her thoughts and emotions into written word. She had a flare for inspirational fiction which could transform your very thoughts. She wrote so vividly that you could smell the sweet aroma from mom’s kitchen or picture the cool colors of the sun setting over the salty blue waves of the Atlantic Ocean. Her writing ability has been recognized by her church. She was invited to perform with the Bold Production Company.

Thank you, E’lexus for sharing your heart with us. You will not be forgotten. Your name and your spirit will always resonate with the Dodd Family. Your Aunt Paige has begun a project in your name to be passed on from generation to generation. (Today, Lexy, your family and those who knew you are sad but this is not the end.) Lord you have declared in Isaiah 55:8 that our thoughts are not Your thoughts, neither are our ways Your ways and we will understand it by and by.

Lexy, when the time comes, you will hear your Savior say, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’ (Matthew 25:23)

E’lexus was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents: Robert Roberts and Deloris Fayton Roberts of Norfolk, VA, and her uncle, Robert Fayton.
