Dorothy Marie Green (DOT) suddenly departed this life and entered a life of eternal peace with her Heavenly Father on Thursday, April 11, 2019 at the age of 52. She was born on April 12, 1966 to the late James and Gloria Knight in Norfolk, Virginia. Dorothy was educated in the Chesapeake Public School System. She worked at Professional Hospitality Resources, Inc. for nine years. Upon her departure, she worked at Children’s King Daughter Hospital for over sixteen years of service. While working there she displayed her nurturing personality, which caused her to be greatly cherished by the patients, doctors and coworkers.
She had an impeccable work ethic and was willing to help all who needed her assistance. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt, cousin and dear friend. She allowed love to lead her and nurture her family. If it was in her power to provide, she would never let anyone she cared about go without. Her love for family and friendship were unmatched, in which she will never be forgotten. Dorothy had numerous hobbies yet she was a avid reader her special novels and bingo player. She leaves to cherish in memory her husband Joseph Green of eighteen years, three children Keonte S. Knight, Anthony J. Knight Jr. and Jornee East. Her memory will be kept on the hearts of beloved sisters and brother, Cora Knight, Tammy Booker (Jessie),
Ervin Knight (Denise), Samantha Johnson (Sylvester), Vincent Knight (Consuela), Jeanette Combs (Toriono), Anthony Knight, Terrence Knight, Sabrina Curly, Marilyn Floyd (Willie) and Jeromey Cuffee. She is also survived by seven aunts, three uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and a hos of friends and extended family.
