Dorothy Elizabeth Hambric

On April 27, 2020, God sent his angels down and called home Dorothy Elizabeth “Dot” Hambric. Dot was born April 29, 1954 to Mary Lee Dawson and the late Percell Dawson, Sr. Dot was preceded in death by her brothers, Homer Dawson & Dennis Harvey, Jr. Dot attended Norview High School. She was a private and loved by everyone who was fortunate enough to meet her. She was hard worker, she loved her family, her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Dot enjoyed trips to the casino and loved to gather with family and friends. Dot was also an excellent baker and a huge Dallas Cowboys fan. Left to cherish Dot’s memory are her daughter, Dyshell Gardner; son, Ronald Briley, Jr.;  grandchildren, Taquan Mizzell, Sr., DeKeara Mizzell, K’lah Briley and Kyron Briley; great grandchildren, Taquan Mizzell, Jr., Brian Spellman, Breon Spellman; her mother, Mary L. Dawson; brothers; Percell Dawson, Jr., Lynwood Dawson (Joyce), Willie Harvey and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends and her special client, Ms. Jasper.

    We knew Miss Dorothy through Shirley Jasper; then found out we had a mutual friend, Billy Witcher, for whom she cooked at Secrets. She was a very sweet person and we shall keep you in our prayers for your loss.
