Doris Mae King, our beloved mother, grandmother, sister and aunt age 87 of Norfolk, VA passed away on Tuesday, January 28,2020.
She was born to the late Claudia Mae Platt and Gus Platt Jr, of Norfolk, VA on April 17,1932.
Doris was a homemaker living with the love of her life Theodore Stith for 54 years. She loved and adored her mother and those special visits from her children and grandchildren. A wonderful friend to those she liked.
Left to cherish her memories are her eight children, Betty King of VA Beach, Sharon Clemmons of Chesapeake, Daphen McCullough (Ernest) of Norfolk, Alfreda King Wright (Otis) of VA Beach, Sabrina Rich (Carlton) of Norfolk, Theodore King of Northern VA, and Muhammad Payne of VA Beach; twenty two grandchildren, thirty nine great grandchildren, nineteen great great grandchildren; sister, Annie Marie Burney (John) of VA Beach; brother, Reginald Platt of Norfolk and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
