“Thru it all, thru it all, I learned to trust in God. I learned to depend upon his word.”
Early Monday, April 26, 2021 God called home our precious love one. Our mother, sister, auntie, cousin, grandmother home. Doris Bernice Hyman Edwards was born January 21, 1934 to the late George and Jodie Hyman. She fell in love and married the late Albert Lee Edwards, Sr.
Doris was loved by all who came to know her. She was the mother of three children, Josephine, Hattie (Jasper), and Albert Jr. (deceased). All though she only had three she gained many more who adopted her as their second mom. She loved to serve in church as an usher at the Greater Mt. Zion Baptist Church or serving her family with her skills in the kitchen.
The Hyman family is a large and loving group of people. We have had many to go on to be with the Lord, but we Thank God for all of them that are waiting and for all that remain. Brothers, Welton Hyman, Sr., Edward Hyman (Margie), Joseph Hyman (Rose) and Cecil Hyman; sisters, Cecille Hyman and Darlene Bazemore; grandsons, Jason and Trenell, Jr.; great grandchildren, Keyshara, Trinity, Trenell, Nia, Jasmine, Kayla, and Taliyah; so many others Oliver Johnson and Archie Butts (forgive me if I left out your name) great friends Meta James, Mattie Providence, Lucinda Edwards, and many more, lots of nieces, nephews, and friends. Much love to her caregivers, Gloria Everett, Vicky Newsome and Alvisha Young and all who cared for my mom.
