Doris Ann Jackson, age 75, has taken her final rest on May 30, 2025. Doris had worked for Pathmark for 30 years before retiring in 2008.
She was truly a dedicated and loving mother to her children, grandchildren, as well as to the rest of her family and her dearest and closest friends. She always gave her beautiful heart to those who crossed her path. Everyone was always greeted with the biggest hugs and her big, bright smile.
Doris was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Irvington, NJ. Enjoying her life was what she did; she loved bowling, going on vacations, and limo rides to her Virgo parties with her best friends/sisters, Ozzie, Lois, Charlotte, and Carol. The one she truly loved was her home in Norfolk, VA, where she was born and raised with her loving family.
She was preceded in death by her son, Darnell Jackson; her parents, Lucy Ann and Alfonzo Banks; her brothers, Steve and Lawrance Banks; and the father of her children, Gereald Jackson, in whom she has been reunited with after her journey up the heavenly stairs.
Doris leaves behind in sorrow her children, Darnita and Jermaine Jackson; the loves
of her life, her grandchildren: Tunisha and Taliah Shoulars, Ja-Kima Foster, Juwan, Rahmir, Amirah, Amari, Jy Meer, and Issac Jackson; her beautiful great- granddaughter, Destiny Shoulars; siblings, Edith McLellan, Audrey Powell, Phyllis Banks, Verna, Anthony, Dennis, Otis Bates, and Keith Banks (Desiree); a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends, especially her lifelong friends Ozzie, Carol, and Lois.

June 12, 2025 at 12:13 amNothing Loved is ever Lost. You will always be in my heart. Jermaine and Netta will always be in my prayers. We know your mother was rejoicing when she got to be with your brother again. She will still be with you two, but in spirit. Your heart will hurt for a bit, but it will heal. Rest easy my Virgo Twin cousin.
