Djuana “Nikki” Timothy-Taylor was born in Norfolk, VA on October 18, 1964 to the late Deborah M. Irving and Robert A. Irving Jr. On August 11, 2018, “Nikki” as she was affectionately known, was called home in Lawton, Oklahoma.
Djuana grew up in Norfolk, VA but later moved to Chesapeake, VA. She graduated from Indian River High School in 1983.
She attended college at Norfolk State University and later decided to serve her country in the United States Army. She was a great mother and exceptional friend. Her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy and her kindness to others resonated with many who were able to be touched by her presence.
Djuana was predeceased by her mother, Deborah M. Cartwright Irving, her father Robert A. Irving Jr., and her brother Lamon L. Irving. To cherish her memory she leaves her stepmother Diane Irving of Chesapeake, VA, Her sisters Christine Y. Irving-Clark (Arrick) and Monique Williams of Chesapeake, VA and Brother Jaylin Irving, of Colorado, her daughters Toni Paulk (Shane) of Colorado and Ihyanla “Yani” Taylor of Lawton, OK. She also leaves her only son Patrick L. Timothy of Lawton, Ok, eight grandchildren DJ, Toryian, Amari, Marlee, Lydia, Nicholai, Xhyane, and Jasmine. Also to cherish her memory are a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, close friends, her childhood friends and classmates and her Cedar Crest/Lawton family.
