Delshawn “Shawn” Leon Body was born in Portsmouth, VA on February 1,1988 to Judy Body and the late Sherwood Yeats. He leaves behind his beloved mother, Judy Body; his sister, Keisha Body and his brother, James “Melvin” Body Sr. (Glendale) along with his four nieces and four nephews, three aunts, two uncles and extended family and friends.
He attended I.C. Norcom High School until 2004. For several years, he worked for Jani King with his brother and his family. Shawn was also committed to his work at the Elizabeth Manor restaurant for several years.
Shawn was also affectionately known around his community as “DB.” He will mostly be remembered for his comical personally, dancing and singing, and love for the Dallas Cowboys. He leaves us all with many cherished memories and he will truly be missed.
