In memory of the life of Deloris Collins Hill
She was born in Norfolk, Virginia to James Collins and Ethel Collins, she was the youngest of all their children. Deloris spent most of her younger years being raised in Florence, South Carolina with her siblings Presalee Collins, William Collins, Gertrude Collins, Ernest Collins, Clearance Collins and Marie Collins and enjoyed spending time with her family there.
She had seven children that she cherished and loved deeply, Michael Collins (deceased) , Ethel Mae Hill, Sandra Hill, Felix Hill, Robert Hill, Brenda Hill (deceased), and Mary Hill.
She moved to Virginia and found a career in the restaurant industry where she earned her nickname as “Mama” and a being a great cook. She was loved by all of her customers. Deloris was very elegant and stylish, enjoying dressing to impress and looked fabulous. She was the rock of the family and will be dearly missed.
Deloris enjoyed church was a devoted member of Enoch until her medical condition prohibited her from attending. She was the rock of the family and will be greatly missed.
She leaves behind by her sister, Marie Scalon, and her grandchildren: Robert Brown, Karen Brown, Kaseem Hill, James Brown, Kim Hill, D. Michelle Hill, Yolanda Garris, Michael Hill (deceased), Takisha Dawson, Kenneth Hill, Marcus Hill, Shirley Stith, Adrian Hill, Andrew Hill, Robin Hill, Robert Hill, Jr. , Kiara Hill, Shaneka Hill. She also leaves behind 38 great- grandchildren, great children, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
As Ms. Deloris Collins Hill transitions to a place of peace, reflect on this scripture:
