As we meditate on the mysteries of life and death, and what the vast eternity may hold, like a bright and shining light comes the knowledge of the promises of God. The darkness disappears…we are content, for with God, all things are right.

I met Mrs Delores several years ago a the Virginia Zoo and she took me in like family, I would see her everyday at work and she always called me baby and ask me how i’m doing. I miss that everyday that she’s not with us. She was funny, always laughing, giving advice and knew how to make your day better. She was a very special person that I will hold dear to my heart and she will be missed. They say God has a plan for all of us and I hope that hers is awesome. Prayers go out to her family and friend in this trying time.

    Sincerely

      Verse of the Day
      Wednesday, June 5, 2019

      Matthew 24:42-44 NIV

“Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come. But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into. So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.”

I’ve known Mrs Delores for many years now working at the Virginia Zoo. She was somewhat like a mother figure to me at the job. She gave the best advice and always knew how to make me smile and laugh. There was times we went on and on about our finger nails because that was the number one thing we kept done. I’m truly going to miss all the hilarious stories we had to tell each other about our nail salon visits & new colors we decided to try. What a Beautiful person. She will truly be missed. My condolences to the family.
