I looked forward to seeing her smiling face when she entered church for worship. I pray for your comfort and peace at such a time as this. God is a Comforter and He gives us Peace. November 15, 2023 at 11:55 amDebra was not only a friend but a mentor to me. We worked together in summer programs for Norfolk Public Schools, we went to the Baptist Conventions together whenever they were held locally and she was instrumental in me joining the Fannie Cypress Missionary ministry when I first joined Second Calvary . She also peaked my interest in joining an international Bible study class of which I still participate. She was kind and funny and I truly missed her when she relocated. Peace and comfort to her loved ones. Rest in peace Debra.

November 18, 2023 at 3:42 pmTo the family of Missionary Debra H. Cox, my prayers go up for your Daughter Sister Ava and other family members of the family. Debra, Rosa, Larry, Sister Marie and I were neighbors in Bowling Park. Your family lived on Dogan Street and our family lived on Godfrey Avenue.

My thoughts are with you during this time-I pray for your comfort and God’s strength
As I join you in celebrating the life of a kind and caring coworker and friend-will forever hold on to memories of Ms Cox, someone so special, close.
Ms Cox was an amazing person. I am so lucky to have had the opportunity to work beside her in teaching the young students at Tidewater Park-to receive her guidance and share “I got this moments” Yes there was the hugs and laughter.
Sending healing prayers and comforting hugs. Thank you for sharing-May there be moments of peace as we remember Debra H. Cox
