On July 3, 2019, our beloved Deborah Diane Royal of Providence Rhode Island affectionately known as “Debbie” made her eternal transition to her heavenly home. As she transitioned, Debbie was surrounded by her darling daughter Starr, the holy scriptures and the songs of the Lord. Debbie flew peacefully into the arms of Jesus.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her loving parents, Bishop Moses L. Davis Sr, Minister Evangeline M. Davis of Norfolk Virginia, her devoted daughter Starr Royal- Burrell, son in love Romando Burrell and the joy of her life, granddaughter Roma Diane Burrell of Chicago IL, bonus daughter, Annalisa Iannone of Palau Italy, devoted and loving life partner, Joseph A. DiNitto “Joey” of Providence RI, siblings, Dr. Dee Davis White (Ronald) Moses Davis Jr, Daphne D Zanders (Joseph) Angela A. Billings (Ronnie) Crystal L. Murphy ( Kyle Anthony Murphy preceded Debbie in death), Virginia L. Brown (Jeff) a host of nieces, nephews cherished family and friends.
Debbie grew up in Norfolk, VA and spent a life filled with travels and adventure. Living and working abroad for twelve years, she raised an incredible daughter while having an extensive career in the government as a liaison and cultural specialist. Upon her return to the Untied States, Debbie used her savvy business skills in management and became a leader in the beauty industry.
Debbie enjoyed classical and Italian music. She was also an amazing cook and entertainer. Her adventurous spirit lead her to do everything from repelling the mountains of Aviemore Scotland to skiing in Garmisch Germany. Debbie was a joy to everyone that met and worked with her. When you think of Debbie, reflect on this; “Debbie loved life!”
As we mourn her, let us also remain comforted that Debbie’s spirit and legacy will live on through her family and those who knew and love her.

November 6, 2024 at 8:27 pmMy apologies for only now finding this notice. I knew Debbie when she worked for the US Navy in Scotland UK.
She was a well known member of the community, loved by many. I accompanied her on trips and to official events. When she walked into a room, she commanded respect and admiration from her colleagues as well as others she met.
Gone too soon, greatly missed and mourned even though many years have passed
