Deborah K. Terry, known as Bolo, was born August 15, 1948, in Norfolk, VA to the late John D. Terry and Dora Ethel Terry. She was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School and Tidewater Community College (TCC), where she earned a certificate in Bookkeeping.

Deborah worked as a cook and staff trainer at Hardees for 15 years. She is predeceased by her father, John David Terry; her mother, Dora Ethel Terry; her sister, Jeanne Christine Ricks; and her brother, David Harvey Terry.

She leaves to cherish her memory two sons, John David Terry (spouse, Barbara Terry) and Melvin Lee Terry (spouse, Carisal Cole); and one daughter, Tonja Marie Terry (spouse, John T. Moore). She also leaves behind her life partner, Douglas Whitehurst; sister, Ethel Mitchell (spouse, Lendell Rodgers); and brother, William Terry; two grandsons, Amiel Terry and Javontae Moore as well as a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, beloved extended family, and friends, who cherished all 26,639 days we had her with us.
