David Leroy Harvey

When reflecting on the life of our beloved David L. Harvey, Sr., words are priceless, love is unlimited and memories are timeless!

Born January 31, 1955 born to Evelyn Virginia Harvey. He attended First Colonial High School in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Affectionately called, “Heavy D”, David was married to the love of his life, Vanessa Dale Harrison Myers for over 42 years and was the father of four children, Davina Hubbard (Taron, Tierra, Tevin, Thailyn, Tahmierra and Trihnitee), Jaunice Hubbard (Joe Linday, Brayunna, Tavares), David Jr. “DJ” (Kamil, Jazmine, Quinton), Dennis LaSalle, (Keshara, Nyziah), and his adopted son, Marcellus Sean Myers.

David was a God-fearing man who loved the Lord, and enjoyed watching his favorite football team, the Green Bay Packers and old TV westerns. He watched daily his Pastor, Gino Jennings as he continued to grow deeper in the word. He served in the U. S. Army and following his last assignment in Korea he was honorably discharged.

On Wednesday, November 22, 2023, his journey here on earth ended and he joined his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. David is survived by two sisters, Yvonne Williams, (Eugene “Geno” and Sid “Mook”), Angela Harvey, (Denardo, Jacoby, Levar, Philip, Shana, Ebony and Tarita) and two brothers, Curtis, (Trudy) and Joseph (Tonetta) along with a host of grandchildren, nieces and nephews whom he loved unconditionally.

We love you and will FOREVER miss you greatly dear husband, friend and father!!!
