David L. Sneade

Sunrise: December 7, 1953

Sunset: June 4, 2018

David “Ronnie” Sneade was born December 2, 1953. He was son of the late James Jennings and Leanora Sneade. Surrounded by loved ones, the Lord called David home on June 4, 2018.

David was educated in the Chesapeake Public School System. He later began his career as the head janitor at Chesapeake City School Board. In 2012, David affectionately known as “Ronnie” became a teacher assistant at New Life Daycare.

David accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Saviour. He served on many different church ministries at his first church, New Mount Olive Baptist. In 2003, he joined New Life Outreach Ministry and was later ordained Chairman Deacon. He was the Director of the Food Outreach and Youth Ministries. Throughout his lifetime, he held many different titles, but the most notable was “servant.” Whenever needed, he was willing and ready to serve. When asked to help or serve, “no” was not in his vocabulary. He supported anyone as much as possible. David was truly a man of greatness. He loved the Lord and inspired many to continue their journey in Christ.

David was predeceased by his father, James Jennings; mother, Eleanora Sneade; spiritual mother, Pastor Elizabeth Moore; and brother, Michael Green. He leaves to cherish his memory, five sisters, Barbara Ann (Nathaniel) Davis, Sharon Green, Valderina (John) White, Betty (Ronald) Holley, Debra Ann (Marvin) Thompson and four brothers, Lester Green, Edward (Monique) Mitchell, Wana Mitchell, Angelo (Millicent) Mitchell and his god-daughter, Arrealle (Vernon) Eason; his trusted caretaker and nurse, Koriyanda (Koko) Perkins and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Barbara and Family … It is still difficult to know that “Ronnie” is gone.
He was a true blessing to know. He had such a servants heart and to know him was to love him. We worshipped and served so many years together in the Mt. Olive A.M.E. church family, Chesapeake, VA. Those years were really happy, blessed and full of wonderful times. I’ll miss our phone calls. Hubby and I will truly miss him. Our Love to You and your Family. “Absent from the Body, Present with the Lord” … Linda & Vince … OP,FL
