Daveyon Ysidro Giles

Dayveon Ysidro “Dee” Giles, born in Norfolk, Virginia, on February 25, 1975, to David Burton and Margaret Giles, peacefully departed this world at home, surrounded by his family, on March 7, 2025. His passing leaves an immense void in the hearts of his family and friends, who will forever treasure his memory. Dee is survived by his loving wife, Erica Giles; his sons, Kem and Daveyon Burton; four bonus children, Daevon, Dajonna, Dymond Goodson, and Endiya Lawrence; his brother, Kerry Giles; his sister/cousin, Jenora Giles; his brother/cousin, Dan Brickhouse; four cherished grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends who were blessed to know him. Dee shared an unbreakable bond with his mother, Margaret Giles, a love that remained steadfast until his last breath. Known for his impeccable style, Mr. DYG, as he called himself, was often seen dressed head to toe in his favorite brand, Ralph Lauren Polo. Dee took great pride in his family, especially in speaking of his sons. His life revolved around being there for them and caring for his mother. He found joy in savoring delicious food, traveling the world with his wife, and eagerly planning their next adventure together. A true music lover, Dee had a special place in his heart for artists like Sade, and his last concert outing was a memorable one, shared with his son Kem to see Roc Marciano. Dee’s warmth, generosity, and unwavering devotion to his loved ones will never be forgotten. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Cousin Daav man it’s so hard to say goodbye to yesterday it was just like yesterday when I saw you at the FAMILY REUNION in August we talked we showed LOVED as we always did we was taught and raised on how you LOVE and support FAMILY we had FAMILY FUN rest in Paradise Cousin my prayers and condolences goes out to Your Sons Daveyon and Kim your. My deepest condolences to a good man, someone who showed me better options in taking care of my body. I’m grateful for the many laughs and encouragement he often gave me. Although we lost contact I will never forget the significant part he played in my story of life.
