On Thursday, January 18, 2024 our beloved and cherished Darlene Gaynor passed away peacefully while surrounded by family. She was born in Norfolk, VA on August 31, 1956 to the late Claude and Julia Gaynor.
She enjoyed working in the yard, cooking, cleaning, painting and cheering on the Dallas Cowboys. Darlene couldn’t get enough of watching Columbo, Perry Mason and Matlock. She was very handy and could fix almost anything. Darlene was a very devoted mother and grandmother.
Everywhere Darlene went she left a lasting impression. Darlene was kind and helpful to everyone. She had a smile that could light up a room.
She is predeceased by her parents, Claude and Julia Gaynor; three brothers, Tonnie Gaynor, Warrenton Griffin and Robert Gaynor; three grandchildren, Kevin Revels, Jr., Larry Revels and Donovan Revels.
Darlene leaves to cherish her memory, her loving daughter Ariel Revels (Kevin); eight siblings, Jeanette White (Henry), Juliaette Sanders (William-deceased), Margaret Boykins (Samuel-deceased), Claudette Simmons, Pamela Gaynor, Edward Gaynor (Denise), William Gaynor and Tran Gaynor (Ann-deceased); two grandchildren, Gabrielle Revels and Xavier Revels; and a host of other relatives, loved ones and friends.
We are positive that the legacy of our beloved Darlene Gaynor will live on beyond the (67) years that she was here on earth. We are immensely grateful to God for her life and Give him all the praise, honor and glory.
