 On Monday, Daniel Herman Gardner Jr., born July 29, 1964, departed this life August 12, 2019. He left this life a wonderful father, devoted husband, son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend.

Daniel was a dedicated member, aspiring deacon, drummer and head of musicians at the church of Christ of Apostolic Faith in Norfolk Virginia, while also being employed for the United States Postal Service in Norfolk Virginia. He was driven by his passion for Christ and M. As a talented artist, musician and soldier in the United States Army he experienced more by his 20s than most will experience in a lifetime.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Adeshia Gardner, daughters Mccaylyn Carlton, Gianni Gardner, Jennifer Thompson, Nicole Thompson and Michelle Thompson & son Daniel H. Gardner III. Daniel also leaves, his Father Bishop Daniel H. Gardner Sr., sisters Carol Mapp (Robert), Toni Booth (Woodrow), Sweetie L. Little (Douglas), brothers Anthony A. Gardner and Antonio A. Gardner (Bertha M.) and a host of family and friends.

Daniel is predeceased by his mother Pastor Sweetie P. Gardner, brother Dennis Melvin and sister Janice A. Mitchell.

    I am so terribly sorry to Dan’s family for their loss. I always remember Dan’s big smile. He was a good coworker and person. Worked with way back with TSA.
