Da'Jon Lee Todd

Our loving husband, father, son, brother and friend, affectionately called “Poodie” passed this life on Tuesday, October 29, 2019. He was born April 16, 1993 in Chesapeake, VA. Da’Jon was a 2011 graduate from Oscar Smith High School. He later attended VCU where he majored in Electrical Engineering. He left VCU and began working as a Longshoreman with the ILA Local 1248.
Da’Jon was a giver and believed in outreach to the community. As the President of the CVB (Crown Vic Boys) Club, Chapter 34, he was instrumental in leading the group in service projects. They supported and donated their time, talent and money to Autism Awareness. Da’Jon received his Christian training at Zion Bethel United Church of Christ in Portsmouth, VA where he accepted Jesus Christ at an early age. Those who knew “Poodie” witnessed his love for his family. He was a great provider to his wife and sons; an awesome support to his dad’s racing hobby; and endearing son to his mom and he was his sister ShaniQuia’s best friend.
He leaves to cherish his memory, wife, Shanna; two children, Bryson and Brycere; parents, Ossia, Jr. and Shawan Corprew; sister, ShaniQuia Todd; two grandmothers, Annie Corprew and Vynell Holloway and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.

      With immense pain in my heart our deepest condolences to the entire family… This was a beautiful young man… he always spoke amazing and refreshing personality…he was kind… he knew the Lord and he was an amazing young man..His smile and our conversations will forever be missed…Love him I will have him in my heart and prayers forever…Rest in peace my son and may God forever bless you.

    Grateful to have known you since September 2005 starting at Oscar Smith Middle School. You were truly a joy to be around. You kept us laughing and smiling. We will keep the years of memories in our hearts. Condolences to your family. From one Tiger to another, you will be missed.

    Da’Jon you will greatly be missed. I only have our high school memories to go by and they were great while they lasted! You were always goofy, kind, and respectful. No one I have talked to ever spoke bad about you and that is the way it should be. Fly high. To his family, I wish you guys God’s peace,grace, and strength over your lives.
