On January 14, 1991, God loaned Calvin and B’Onka Hill an angel. God allowed her parents to name her and raise her in the fear and admonition of Him. This angel was named Czavi’er Lantia Hill and her parents knew that she would make a mark in this world. On March 24, 2022, her purpose on this earth was fulfilled and our angel went back home to be with Him.
Czavi’er was known to be fun loving, cheerful, and outgoing. She was very active in school from kindergarten to grad school. She was creative and smart and was an honor student all her life. Czavi’er was selected to be in the Gifted and Talented program in elementary school and continued to soar academically throughout her entire school career. She had always been a talker and a natural motivator and first showed an interest in communications while attending Western Branch Middle School. While in high school, Czavi’er became a certified on-air radio announcer with Hampton University’s WHOV 88.1, where she hosted the Wednesday evening Blues Show.
Czavi’er was a Parson’s scholar and received a 4-year scholarship to attend Norfolk State University. While attending NSU, she co-hosted the on-campus talk show called the “Golden Message”. As a natural leader, she was selected to represent NSU at the Gloucester Institute for student leaders. She was an honor graduate and received her bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications. She later completed a master’s degree in Human Services Counseling and was actively working on a second master’s degree in Strategic Communications, both from Regent University. Regent University will commemorate her degree in Strategic Communications.
Czavi’er has been in church all her life. But more important than her being in church, was the love of God that was in her. Over the years, she sung in the choir, praise danced, coordinated Women’s Conferences, and co-hosted ladies’ night to name a few. With her love of communications, she handled all the technology and streaming functions at New Genesis Worship Center. She loved working alongside her dad in ministry. Czavi, as she was affectionately known, was called into ministry early and finally accepted the call on her life during college. Her initial sermon was entitled “Built for This”. She used many platforms to share her gift and to expound on the Word of God. She had an email ministry called “Chew on This”, a blog called “My Sister’s Keeper”, and a streaming platform called “Let’s Talk Tuesday!”. She loved God and she loved being used by Him to help His people. Czavi’er was an amazing woman of God.
Czavi was the proud owner of One Fourteen & Company where she uplifted Jesus, strived to help people find their purpose, and helped with branding. The significance in One Fourteen was that it was her birthday. Before starting her company, she worked as an administrator in higher education helping students at Regent University and Hampton University. She recently accepted a job with Eagle Harbor to be a lead photographer and editor in Public Affairs. She was so excited to get back into communications.
Czavi was a member of the Virginia Beach Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Her line name was “Static Electricity”. During the induction ceremony, she stated, “you may not see me coming, but you sure will feel my presence”. That was so true of her personality on so many levels. Everyone who knew her surely felt her presence. She didn’t care to be out front, to brag or be in the limelight, she just wanted to make a difference. All who knew her, loved her.
The stories and accomplishments about Czavi could go on and on. As we cherish her memories and continue her legacy, she will be extremely missed but never forgotten by her parents, Calvin and B’Onka Hill of Chesapeake, VA; her big brother and sister-in-law, Calvin, Jr. (CJ) and Courtney Hill of Chesapeake, VA; her uncles, Vidal Wright of Jacksonville, NC and Harold Hill, Jr. (Paulette) of Las Vegas, NV; her God-Mother, Kimberly Bundy of New Bern, NC; her God-daughter, Krimzyn Coats of Chesapeake, VA; her New Genesis Worship Center Church family, Great Uncles, cousins, and many friends. Czavi’er had special friends who loved her as their sister: Kiera Abdelkader, Tevin Milton, Tina Abah, Brett Conn, Denzel Cross, Tanya Mills, Korey Bell, Eddie McClam, and Dr. Takeyra “Keyke” Coats.

We pray that the Lord gives you strength today and that Family will rally together and comfort one another as you grieve but also that in the coming days, months, years, your hearts will began to mend and you will strength will be renewed daily and as you learn to live with her being absent from you physically. She will always be present in your hearts and minds and we pray the Lord will give you the renewed strength in time that will allow your hearts to smile instead of grieve when you look at her picture, mention her name, or just think about Czavi’er.
