Cynthia Green, lovingly known as “Dinnette”, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 18, 2025, at the age of 67. She was born on August 2, 1957, to the late Cora and Nathaniel Felton. Cynthia’s life was a reflection of her unwavering love for her family and her commitment to those around her.

She was a devoted mother to her daughter, Renata Wesley. As a grandmother and great-grandmother, she cherished her grandchildren: Avatiena Wesley (deceased), Trevona Green, Breon Perkins, Keith Spade, Davowa Gayle, and great-grandchildren, Gemarion Baxter and Rayveon Gayle.

Cynthia was preceded in death by her late husband, Michael Green as well as her siblings: Mary Gober, Elizabeth Skinner, Louethel McBride, Gloria Knight, Betty Morgan, Clarence Felton, Eddie Lee Felton, and William Felton.

She is survived by her loving sister, Estella McGilberry (David McGilberry), her fiancé Jerry Towe, two dear sisters-in-law, Barbara Davis (Nathaniel Davis) and Sharon Green (Anthony Thomas) along with a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family who will continue to carry her memory forward.

A woman with a heart full of joy, generosity, and kindness, Cynthia was known for her vibrant personality and deep love for life. She was a proud member of the Eastern Star, where she demonstrated her commitment to service and community. Professionally, she dedicated 14 years as a Personal Care Assistant at The Indian River Retirement Home and 13 years as a housekeeper at Chesapeake Health and Rehab. She was loved and respected by all who worked with her and admired for her kindness and dedication.

Cynthia was the life of every gathering. She had a one-of-a-kind spirit, a love for music and dancing, and a natural ability to bring joy and laughter to others. Her outgoing nature and sense of humor made her a joy to be around, and her infectious energy left a lasting impression on everyone she met. She had an extraordinary gift for making people feel special and valued.

While we will miss her deeply, Cynthia’s legacy of love, laughter, and generosity will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Her memory will continue to inspire and bring warmth to those whose lives she touched.
