Curtis Freeman, Jr. “June” of the 900 block of Maltby Avenue passed away May 7, 2018 in Norfolk, VA. He was born on July 27, 1947 in Norfolk, VA to the late Curtis and Odessa Freeman. He is also predeceased by his sisters, Mary Lee Whidbee, Regina Self and Margaret Wells. He was educated in the Norfolk Public Schools System. Curtis was employed by Globe Iron as a Fabricated Steel Worker. He was a member of Angelic Church of God in Christ where he served on the Deacon and Usher Board.
Curtis is survived by his wife Carolyn Freeman; four children, Vernon Smith (Charmaine), Brenda Smith, Wanda Smith, and Naforis Boone; mother in law, Delorse Hunter; two sisters, Barbara Freeman and Brenda Freeman; one brother, George Freeman; 14 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and loving friends.
