On October 5, 2019 our beloved Corine Spencer transformed into her heavenly state surrounded by those she loved and loved her. Born August 24, 1948 to Eugene Williams and Leedell Watson, both who preceded her in death. At a very young age Corine was adopted and raised by her late grandparents, Dan and Sadie Spencer. Corine was baptized at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church (Gum Neck) where she attended for most of her young adult life until graduating from Tyrell High School in Columbia N.C. shortly after graduating, she relocated to Norfolk, VA where she attended Norfolk State University. She was employed by the City of Norfolk, VA working for the Department of Health, then moving on as an eligibility worker for over 20 years until
her retirement.
She leaves to cherish her life and legacy her son, Stanley Spencer (Erica); grandson, Deonte’ Davis (Jasmine); two sisters, Linda L. Britt and Iras Garlick (Eddie); one brother, Glen M. Spencer (Dora); a special cousin, Evelyn Davis and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends she loved to see gather and through them se will forever live on.
