Corey Jermaine Hayes, 52, peacefully transitioned and received his Heavenly Wings on September 14, 2023. Corey was born to the late Angela Ronita Louise Hayes and the late Paul Linwood Hayes on September 14, 1971. He was also predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Luther Teel and Maria Teel; paternal grandparents, Mary Alston and Jerry Alston and his aunt, Barbara Savage.
Corey attended Lake Taylor High School in Norfolk, VA. He was an entrepreneur, who loved to make clothing. He started his own clothing line, “Official Street Gear” also known to many OSG. He was an avid football fan of the Las Vegas Raiders. Corey loved those Raiders! Some of Corey’s favorite pastime other than watching football and making clothing were drawing, eating candy and dancing! (He would be known to breakdance at any given time).
Corey loved his family and there was nothing he wouldn’t do for them. He leaves to cherish his precious memories his children, Angela Hayes, Jakale Pinkney Madison Leighann Morse; brothers and sisters, Antonio Teel Sr. (Tracey), Troy Teel (Gail), Naketa Hayes (Katie), Toinetta Hayes, Trinetta Hayes (who was his loving caregiver and affectionately called by him as “Trinie”), Devonda Christmas (Breon) and Roschonda Amos (Barry); aunt, Tonya Adams; cousins, Brittney Adams, Shawn Savage, Lisa Hill and Latashoa Hill; one grandchild, Nikko; special sister in law, Tonia Teel (whom he held near and dear to his heart and affectionately called by him as “Red”); Godsister and Godbrother, Gail Campbell and Dewayne Carter “Heavy”; childhood friends, Lamont Clark, Rodney McNeil, Anthony Garner and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
