Cordelia Ann Williams, 69 went to be with the Lord on August 31, 2023. She was surrounded by the love of her family. Ann was born on January 14, 1954 in Norfolk, Virginia. She was the daughter of Moses Williams, Sr. and Rosa B. Williams. Ann was predeceased by her parents and brothers Louis A. Williams, Moses Williams, Jr. and Charles D. Williams. She was a high school graduate of Norfolk Public Schools.
Ann worked in a variety of jobs such as food, environmental and home care services. Her greatest joy came from being a Personal Care Assistant providing care to the elderly. In all her positions, she exemplified integrity, dedication, commitment and always gave her best. Ann never learned how to drive so her primary mode of transportation was using the public transit system or walking. She was a devoted walker.
Ann was loved and cherished by all her family and friends. She never made an enemy. She could light up a room with her smile and kind spirit, a true child of God! Ann was quite the dancer best known for her signature spin especially while playing Michael Jacksons’ Off The Wall Album.
Remaining to cherish her memory is her daughter Sandra Fonville (Kevin), Atlanta, Georgia and son Robert L. Williams, Norfolk, Virginia, sisters Rosa L. Parker (primary caregiver) & Dr. Joanne Williams-Reed, (caregiver) Chesapeake, VA and brother Robert L. Williams, Norfolk, VA; grandchildren Kaleigh R. Williams & Saphire M. Bell, Norfolk, Virginia. A host of nieces, nephews, great nieces/nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Especially niece Georgeatta Tabb (primary caregiver), great nieces Frances Calderon (primary caregiver and Artis “Lisa” Williams-Beldo (caregiver).
Deepest appreciation is expressed for the caring ministry of the Gentiva Hospice and its staff along with Alliance Medical, Inc.
